Description
Clomicyl® is an oral tablet preparation containing clomifene citrate, the citrate salt of clomifene. Clomifene is a non-steroidal triphenylethylene derivative and selective oestrogen receptor modulator, present as a mixture of geometric isomers that define its molecular profile.
The tablet format is suited to this small-molecule citrate salt for oral administration. In this dosage form, the active substance is provided as a measured unit dose intended for release after ingestion, without oil-depot release, ester hydrolysis, peptide-solubility requirements or suspension-based release from an injection site.
