Description
Boldecyl U® is an oil-based sterile solution containing boldenone undecylenate, a long-chain ester of boldenone formed with undecylenic acid. The esterified structure increases the lipophilic character of the molecule, making an oily injectable vehicle appropriate for this form of the compound.
After deep intramuscular injection, the oil phase acts as a depot from which the esterified substance is released gradually before enzymatic hydrolysis of the ester bond yields boldenone. In this type of preparation, the ester chain length and oil-based vehicle are important factors influencing the depot character of the product.
