Description
Gonadocyl® is a sterile solution containing chorionic gonadotropin, a glycoprotein hormone composed of two protein subunits with associated carbohydrate structures. This glycoprotein architecture distinguishes chorionic gonadotropin from smaller peptide compounds and from steroid-based injectable substances.
The aqueous solution is suited to a water-soluble protein hormone intended for intramuscular or subcutaneous administration. In this format, the active substance is maintained in dissolved form within a sterile water-based vehicle, without the oil depot behaviour of esterified steroid preparations or the particle-based profile of aqueous suspensions.
