Description
Provicyl® is an oral tablet preparation containing mesterolone, a synthetic derivative of dihydrotestosterone. The molecule is characterised by a methyl substitution at the 1α position, distinguishing it from 17α-alkylated oral steroid compounds while retaining a DHT-derived steroid nucleus.
The tablet format is suited to this small-molecule steroid compound for oral administration. In this dosage form, the active substance is provided as a measured unit dose intended for release after ingestion, without ester hydrolysis or oil-depot release associated with injectable steroid esters.
