Description
Mitocyl® is a sterile solution containing MOTS-c, a synthetic 16-amino-acid peptide corresponding to a mitochondrial-derived peptide sequence. As a short peptide compound, MOTS-c is structurally distinct from steroidal molecules, peptide-copper complexes and larger glycoprotein hormones.
The aqueous solution is suited to a peptide active substance for subcutaneous injection. In this dosage form, the compound is maintained in dissolved form within a sterile water-based vehicle, where the preparation is centred on peptide solubility rather than oil-depot release or crystalline-particle dissolution.
