Description
Somatocyl® is a sterile solution containing somatropin, a recombinant form of human growth hormone. Somatropin is a single-chain protein composed of 191 amino acids, making it structurally distinct from short synthetic peptides, steroidal compounds and small-molecule injectable substances.
The aqueous solution is suited to a protein-based active substance intended for subcutaneous injection. In this dosage form, somatropin is maintained in dissolved form within a sterile water-based vehicle, where the preparation is centred on protein solubility and structural integrity rather than oil-depot release, ester hydrolysis or crystalline-particle dissolution.
